Mindful Magic
A collaborative therapy group for adults looking to build mindfulness skills, deepen self-awareness, and connect with others in a mindful and magical way.
Therapy Group · Marietta, GA & Telehealth · Georgia & Alabama
You waited for the letter. You know the one—the one that was supposed to arrive and finally confirm that you were meant to be swept away to somewhere magical. That there was a world somewhere that would make sense of you and let you be weird, silly, powerful, and creative.
But the letter never came. You grew up. And She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named went and made the whole thing complicated. But it’s time to reclaim the magic! Magic is meant for everyone, and now it’s your turn to get your wand, broom, and familiar and dive in to your classes.
Mindful Magic is a group for those who grew up devouring books, casting spells in secret, and feeling feelings too big for the rooms they were in. Let’s reclaim the magic.
Using real therapeutic methods — DBT skills, ACT, attachment work, parts (IFS) work — woven into collaborative storytelling, Mindful Magic is where you learn to conjure the courage to take up space, ask for what you need, and let people see the full, magical you.
After all, there’s a little witch in all of us.
Reconnect with your inner child. Learn helpful skills.
Share stories, get curious, and discover what becomes possible when mindfulness and imagination meet.

The Approach
-
This is different from therapy you may have done before. It’s skills-building, skills practice, relationship work, creative play, and therapeutic processing rolled into one.
-
Before joining the group, you’ll have a private intake session with Maggie. You’ll get to know each other, discuss your goals, then collaboratively build your character as part of a full clinical assessment.
-
Your small group of 4-6 people creates a shared magical school and inhabits it together, session by session, using the Kids on Brooms framework. Maggie guides the story with your individual therapeutic goals woven throughout.
-
Your character gets to do the things that are hardest for you in real life, such as stand up for themselves, be vulnerable, take up space, survive mistakes and failures, build meaningful relationships… and so do you!
-
Every session starts with a quick skill overview and closes with a structured debrief that bridges what happened in the story to your actual life. You take insights, the relationships, and the skills with you back into the real world.
Evidence-based methods
Real skills.
Woven into the narrative.
Every session teaches and practices evidence-based skills that are embedded in the narrative. You apply them in game... then go home to apply them out of game!
DBT Skills
Distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness. Wise Mind and Acceptance become crucial to casting effective spells!
ACT Skills
Values clarification, cognitive defusion, psychological flexibility. Your character has flaws and inner conflict to work through.
Attachment & Relationships
Your relational patterns surface naturally in the group. We'll witness, name, and rewrite them in story. Explore the ways you lean in and avoid relationally.
IFS-Informed Parts Work
Your character's animal familiar, broom, and wand all become representations of different parts. Your character may even represent a specific part of yourself!
Trauma-Informed Throughout
The story offers protective distance and a pace you set. You're never pushed past your window of tolerance. Safety signals are built into every session.
Group Healing
The group itself is a therapeutic instrument. In group we practice being witnessed, witnessing others, and co-creating some healing magic.
