Join Maggie Malone, a licensed therapist, for a group dedicated solely to reading the best literature on mental health, wellness, and personal growth!

This group includes . . .

  • A deep dive into emotional-wellness and self-help literature

  • Therapist-led discussions about the books

  • Discussion of how to apply the concepts from the books into personal life

  • A sense of community

  • An investment in your own self-care and personal growth

  • **Disclaimer** This group is not intended as therapy. It is meant as a helpful resource and possible complement to therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Book Club

Is this book club just for therapists?

Nope! This club is for anyone who loves reading and is interested in mental health. It’s a mix of non-therapists/everyday folks and therapists. We all have our own insights and wisdoms to share.

Do I need to be in Georgia to participate?

No, you don’t! Since this is not therapy and is virtual, you can participate from anywhere.

Does it cost anything?

It does not. This club has a pay-what-you-can model. So if you can’t pay anything, then you don’t! If you are able and willing to pay some, you can. And maybe some months you can afford to pay and others you can’t. I don’t want finances to be a barrier to you joining and participating.

How often do you meet?

We meet weekly on Thursdays, though occasionally we may have to skip a week if it’s a holiday or if I’m unavailable. This happens rarely, and we discuss it as a group when it does happen.

What happens if I can’t keep up with the reading?

No worries! We’re a relaxed group. Read what you can and just come willing to discuss and participate. The readings given each week are targets and recommendations, but there is no shame in not getting it all done. Come for the company and discussion regardless of if you hit that target reading or not.

If you’re interested in joining the therapeutic book club, fill out the contact form — Maggie will be in touch shortly!

“I’ve always thought that a good book should be either the entry point inward, to learn about yourself, or a door outward, to open you up to new worlds.”
