Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment model that helps reduce anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress symptoms, give you tangible life skills, and relate to yourself in a more compassionate, respectful way.

In-Person DBT Skills Group for Adults
Who: Adults who need more support managing their emotions and maintaining healthy relationships and want to build their life worth living!
This is an anti-racist, neurodivergent-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming group
All genders welcome
Where: 316 Alexander St SE, Ste. 8, Marietta, GA 30064
When: Wednesdays - 5:30 - 6:45 pm
Cost: $62/group
Individual Intake Session - $150
What: Learn skills for the four Core DBT Modules:
Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Distress Tolerance

What is DBT?
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is an evidence-based treatment approach that can create measurable and sustainable results for people struggling with a variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, substance misuse, and disordered eating.
The D in DBT stands for the philosophy of Dialectics, which is the principle that two opposing things, such as beliefs or feelings, can both be true. The main dialectic in DBT is balancing acceptance and change.
The B refers to Behavior. DBT grew out of another evidence-based practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which means that it focuses on changing emotions, thoughts and behaviors that are currently interfering with your ability to have the life that you want.
The T is obviously Therapy. And a big part of this type of therapy is Mindfulness, a non-judgmental and acceptance-based practice that helps us allow our experiences without trying to suppress or avoid them.
The reason behind learning Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills is to help you enhance your effectiveness at meeting life’s challenges while prioritizing building a fulfilling, worthwhile life.

The group is broken down into different 8-week courses. You can choose which ones you want to complete, though I recommend you commit to all three to get the most out of the skills.

If you have made the 24 week commitment but have something come up or feel the group is just not for you, we ask you give a two week notice, during which you will still be expected to pay the cost of those two sessions and are encouraged to attend.

You will need to start at the beginning of one of the three 8-week groups. Those three groups will be Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Distress Tolerance. Each group will include a 2-week mindfulness training.
